new schedule - warrenpoint service
We are pleased to announce that due to the successful installation of the new number 3 linkspan in Heysham we are now able to make some beneficial changes to our sailing schedule on the Warrenpoint service. From Monday 16 June onwards the schedule on this route will change with the introduction of a new 02:00 hrs departure from Heysham Tuesday – Saturday and a 14:30 hrs departure from Warrenpoint Tuesday - Friday.
The 02:00 hrs departure will offer additional peak overnight space with an arrival time of 11:00 hrs in Warrenpoint. Perfect for those loads which were too late for the 22:00 sailing. From Warrenpoint we are sure that the new off peak 14:30 hrs departure will be very popular with both drop trailers and self drive units.
The amount of off peak space ex Heysham will be unaffected as the am departure will be operated by the 70 unit West Express replacing the 30 unit Lygra. Later in the year the West Express will be replaced by another new building joining the Clipper Point.
Commercially we are sure that these changes offer you real benefits, in addition to the new sailing times the increase in capacity of 40 units per day in each direction will make a significant difference. By separating the sailing times the new schedule will also reduce the potential disruption due to tidal issues.
