Unlike passenger services, the Seatruck freight only service is able to accommodate almost all types of hazardous cargo on any of its sailings. Our trained personnel are available to advise on the specific requirements of the IMDG code.The Seatruck Ferries service can also ship hazardous goods of Class 1, explosives. The ports of Heysham and Warrenpoint currently offer the only gateway directly to Northern Ireland for the shipment of these goods by freight ferry. Please be advised that due to port restrictions there is a of limit of 50kg NEQ for class 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 & 1.5. Class 1.4 is exempt from this restriction.

Please note that the following substances are prohibited from shipment on all Seatruck Ferries vessels.

• arsenic & compounds
• hydrogen sulphide
• hydrogen cyanide & halogenated cyanogens

All shipments of hazardous goods must comply with the current IMDG Code regulations.
